Bright Garden Appeal Take Over Week at The Alnwick Garden

Monday 3rd – Friday 7th August 2026

This summer, we’re delighted to be taking over The Alnwick Garden for a very special week in support of The Bright Garden Appeal and we’d love you to come and join us.

The Bright Garden Appeal is all about celebrating the incredible difference that gardens and green spaces can make to our health, wellbeing and happiness. Time spent outdoors has the power to calm, inspire and bring people together, and that’s exactly what we’ll be celebrating throughout our takeover week.

During your visit, children can pick up a Bright Garden Appeal Scavenger Hunt and set off on an adventure around the beautiful grounds of The Alnwick Garden. As they explore, they’ll search for clues, discover fascinating features and learn more about the wonderful world around them.

Every completed scavenger hunt will be entered into a prize draw to win a Family Day Pass to The Alnwick Garden, giving one lucky family the opportunity to return for another fantastic day out.

Throughout the week, we’ll also be encouraging visitors to think about simple acts of kindness and ways we can all help our communities thrive. You’ll have the opportunity to sign our ‘book of kindness’ for a small donation and leave a lasting legacy after the appeal is finished.
